All interested in parenting and educating bright and high ability children are welcome to attend any of our meetings and events. We would like to hear from you re: how the ABC London chapter can support you. What are your questions and concerns? What would you like the local chapter to offer for parents or for kids? What suggestions do you have? What would make meeting with other parents more convenient for you (time, day, location ..?) In particular, we have heard from parents interested in connecting with others in similar circumstances such as: 1) home schooling gifted children 2) parenting 2E gifted children, such as gifted + Asperger's 3) parents of children in the fulltime gifted classes (ie. University Heights) If you would like to connect with other parents sharing experiences such as these please send us an email at the above address and permission to share your email with other parents in similar circumstances. It has been wonderful to meet so many members at our recent meetings and to hear about many different educational options -- from the congregated gifted class at University Heights to home schooling, private schooling, secondary and separate schools, from Londoners and others in the surrounding area like Strathroy and Dorchester, it is has been a great opportunity to compare experiences and share successes and challenges we have had.
Interested in Connecting? The London Chapter is looking for youth and adults interested in connecting with other families with gifted children. If you are interested in helping us with: - event planning - SEAC Or even just getting together for some children, family or adult social events, workshops or speakers, we would love to hear from you.
