For over three decades, ABC Ontario has been supporting educational excellence by empowering parents to speak up for the needs of bright and gifted children.
ABC Ontario endeavours to:

Disspell myths about gifted learners

Inform parents, educators and the general public about issues in education that impact students with advanced learning potential

Provide a forum for parents and educators to interact and find solutions to meet the unique learning needs of bright and gifted children and youth

Educate parents about the education system and provide strategies for making the most of the school experience

Engage parents, locally and provincially, to make a difference in the opportuntiies available for students with high potential (whether it is hidden or evident )

Expand horizons for high potential learners within and beyond the education system

Ensure that the unique needs of advanced learners are included in public policy discussions

Represent concerns of gfited students, their families and teachers, to district school boards, the Ministry of Education, educator groups and other policy makers
